Project
This transformation project aims to renew technologies using natural or recyclable materials for the environment, while preserving its rich cultural heritage.
Whatever the job, with our transformations we aim to renew technologies and mix them together, using natural or recyclable materials for the environment.
Due to its mechanical properties, bamboo is extremely versatile and applied in different industries. One of its peculiarities is the presence of knots which improve resistance to bending and traction and make it a robust and tenacious material.
- Flexibility and impact resistance;
- Repellent to stains and liquids;
- Resistance to deformation and moisture;
- Resistance to high and low temperatures.
It is a very resistant but light plant: for example, it is able to resist earthquakes well, and for this reason it has always been used in anti-seismic construction. All these characteristics make bamboo a sustainable material, perfect for construction: with very little impact on the environment, it is able to replace all the others
Here, in short, are the characteristics that make bamboo a highly ecological and sustainable material.
ability to combat air and soil pollution: with its roots bamboo transforms pollutants into biomass;
ability to resist diseases that attack grasses (does not require herbicides)
carbon dioxide absorption capacity;
ease of reforestation of the slopes and maintenance of the soil: the “roots” are made up of rhizomes that do not weigh down the soil;
ability to keep water clean: bamboo is a strategy for managing organic animal waste;
ability to retain water (which allows it to resist drought), thanks to which it prevents the washing of the soil;
fireproof qualities: in its green state it is difficult to combustible and even if it burns the rhizomes guarantee the ability to regenerate new canes;
windproof and noise-reducing qualities.
